SMS Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-17
This page explains how Volley uses SMS, what messages you'll receive, and how to opt out. It exists for compliance with carrier rules (CTIA, Canadian CASL) and Twilio's acceptable use policy.
What you'll receive
- If you're a customer of a business using Volley: when you call them and they don't pick up, Volley will text you once with a brief greeting and a question. If you reply, you'll receive 2–4 follow-up messages from the AI to capture your needs, then a closing message confirming the business will follow up.
- If you submit your number to the public demo: you'll receive one opening SMS, plus a few back-and-forth messages if you reply. One demo per phone per hour.
- If you're a Volley business owner: you'll receive lead-summary SMS notifications, occasional reminders about unanswered leads, and weekly digest summaries.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any Volley SMS at any time. You'll receive one confirmation, then no further messages from that number. To re-subscribe later, reply START.

Frequency & cost
Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply — we do not charge for SMS, but your carrier might. Volley does not send marketing or promotional messages.
Consent
By submitting your phone number to the demo form, you consent to receiving the demo SMS sequence described above. By calling a business that uses Volley, you implicitly agree to receive a single follow-up SMS from that business — you can opt out by replying STOP, after which no further automated messages will be sent.
Carriers
Volley's SMS is delivered via Twilio. Carriers we deliver to include the major US and Canadian networks. Some shared shortcode features may not work on all carriers.
Privacy
Phone numbers and message contents are handled per our Privacy Policy.
